Switching your checking account to Billings Federal Credit Union is easy

Take four simple steps to open a checking account and start enjoying Billings Federal Credit Union’s online and mobile solutions – as well as our surcharge free ATM network – more than even the largest bank. We are here to help and will walk you through the process start to finish.

  1. Make a list of all your checking and account transactions. This should include scheduled bill payments and any other regular debits to third parties, any checks you’ve already written or plan to write and scheduled transfers to savings or investment accounts.
  2. Deposit funds into your Billings Federal Credit Union checking account.
  3. Set up payments and transfers from your new account. This should include all the items on the list you created in step one.
  4. Close your old account – but, before you do, make sure any pending checks have cleared. Once that happens, you can withdraw all remaining funds you have in the account and ask your bank to close the account.

Welcome to Billings Federal Credit Union – if you have any questions about your new checking account (or anything else we can do to make your financial life easier), please don’t hesitate to contact us.
